We pride ourselves on the fact that we are all local people and have the capabilities to achieve multiple benefits from each project. One case of a multiple benefit approach is the soil analysis program that we run. Using funding from Natural England where possible we analyse samples from each farm to learn how we can improve and repair the farm's soil health. By improving the soils the farm will receive a better crop yield, a better quality grass for the animals but by improving the soil structure we can increase the amount of rainfall that is absorbed into the land and further help with flooding. By increasing the amount of organic matter in our soils we are able to contribute significantly to the amount of carbon captured and retained in our land.
